Mr Basil D'Souza

Mr D'Souza has special interests in all Colorectal pathology. He has completed an addition 4 years of sub-specialty training after completing training as a General Surgeon, and is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand. Patients commonly seek his help for investigation of anaemia, rectal bleeding, bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, faecal incontinence, gallbladder surgery and hernias.

Mr D'Souza gets great satisfaction from helping his patients succeed in all aspects of their health and well-being.
 

He also has an interest in clinical research and is actively involved in the teaching, training and supervision of research for medical students, surgical trainees and fellows. He is a Senior Lecturer in the University of Melbourne Clinical School.

Mr D'Souza has a public hospital appointment at the Northern Hospital in Epping. He also operates at John Fawkner Hospital and St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy.
