About me
Dr Sidhu is a specialist Colorectal and General Surgeon in Melbourne.
Dr Sidhu completed his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2008. He completed his General Surgery training and became the Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2017. He underwent 4 years of further sub-speciality training in colorectal surgery and is a member of the Colorectal Surgery Society of Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Sidhu specialises in the treatment of all areas of Colorectal and General Surgery including bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, rectal bleeding, haemorrhoids, hernias and gallbladder disease. Dr Sidhu is also accredited to perform both gastroscopies and colonoscopies. He is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon who practices minimally invasive surgery.
Dr Sidhu has keen interest in research, teaching and advocacy. He is well published in various national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has held clinical lecturer positions at University of New South Wales and University of Tasmania. He has previously held positions as the trainee representative on the Australian Board in General Surgery and Colorectal Surgery Society in Australia and New Zealand.
Dr Sidhu holds a public appointment at the Northern Hospital and also operates at John Fawkner Hospital and Epworth Freemasons Hospital.
