FAQs

Q. Do I have consultation fees?

There will be a fee for consultation at the practice on the day of your consultation. Some of this will be rebatable via Medicare or your private health insurance. We can submit this claim online on the day of your consultation. If you are unsure of the fees please contact our receptionist prior to your consultation

Q. What are my payment options?

We accept payment with cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard or Direct Debit

Q. Are the rates reduced in some instances?

We charge reduced fees for clients who hold a valid Pensioner Concession Card. Please bring in your card on the day of consultation

Q. What about DVA clients?

There are no out of pocket costs for DVA clients. We will bill the Department of Veterans Affairs directly

Q. What about workcover clients?

There are reduced out of pocket charges for clients with a letter of approval from their case manager and a workcover claim number

Q. What if I can't afford the fees?

Our specialists work at public hospitals and can be seen in outpatients there at no charge. Your GP can make the appropriate referral. Please be aware there may be delays in the public waiting list.

Q. What should I bring on the day?

Please bring any referral letter from your GP or specialist along with any images (CD or hard copy), any recent blood results and medication lists. Please also bring along any health care cards or private insurance information 

Q. Where can I park?

There is ample free car parking directly across the road in Harding Street. Please be aware parking is limited to 4 hours and parking inspectors routinely work in the area. 

Q. What about public transport?

We are fortunate to be surrounded by an abundance of public transport in the area. Coburg Train Station is about 500m from us.  There is a bus stop literally outside the rooms, bus route #512 Coburg line. There is a tram stop on the corner of the street about 50m away tram #19 along Sydney Road

We value your input and we want to know how we can make our service better. If you have any questions/concerns please contact reception and ask for Ana our practice manager 

Q. What about my private information? 

At Northside we take your privacy very seriously. All information provided to us will be kept in a secure medical cloud database on password protected computers and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent. We are happy to provide any of your own information to you at your request
